چکیده

Our goal is to obtain a test system for the evaluation of time-stepping methods in molecular dynamics. We consider a family of deterministic systems consisting of a finite number of particles interacting on a compact interval. The particles are given random initial conditions and interact through instantaneous energyand momentum-conserving collisions. As the number of particles, the particle density, and the mean particle speed go to infinity, the trajectory of a tracer particle is shown to converge to a stationary Gaussian process. We simulate the system with two numerical methods, one symplectic, the other energy-conserving, and assess the methods’ ability to recapture the system’s limiting statistics.

Three-Dimensional Simulation of Airflow and Nano-Particle Beam Focusing in Aerodynamic Lenses(RESEARCH NOTE)

In this paper airflow, nano-and micro-particle motions in an aerodynamic particle beam focusing system consisting of several lenses, a nozzle and the downstream chamber, was studied. A three-dimensional numerical simulation for the system was presented and the compressible airflow and thermal conditions in the aerodynamic lens system were evaluated. Dilute particle concentration was assumed so ...

Simulation of Human Foot Mechanism with a Degree of Freedom Motion

The need for simulation of human foot mechanism has made researchers and engineers move towards different patterns to describe this movement. In this regard, optimal solutions such as energy consumption, accuracy, etc. are of utmost importance. In this paper, efforts have been made to present a new solution by designing a fully two-dimensional six-bar mechanism with one degree of freedom so tha...

Mechanical behaviour of motion for the two-dimensional monolayer system‎

‎In this paper we study the dynamics of the 2D-motion of a particle of monolayer‎. First we consider the usual physical time component and the plan manifold R2, having the polar coordinates. Then a geometric approach to nonholonomic constrained mechanical systems is applied to a problem from the two dimensional geometric dynamics of the Langmuir-Blodgett monolayer‎. We consider a constraint sub...

Lattice Boltzmann simulation of EGM and solid particle trajectory due to conjugate natural convection

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the EGM method and the behavior of a solid particle suspended in a twodimensional rectangular cavity due to conjugate natural convection. A thermal lattice Boltzmann BGK model is implemented to simulate the two dimensional natural convection and the particle phase was modeled using the Lagrangian–Lagrangian approach where the solid particles are treat...

When the classical & quantum mechanical considerations hint to a single point; a microscopic particle in a one dimensional box with two infinite walls and a linear potential inside it

In this paper we have solved analytically the Schrödinger equation for a microscopic particle in a one-dimensional box with two infinite walls, which the potential function inside it, has a linear form. Based on the solutions of this special quantum mechanical system, we have shown that as the quantum number approaches infinity the expectation values of microscopic particle position and square ...
